Jaunsar Public School, Chakrata founded in 1981, as the first English Medium Force School to teach wards of the personnel of the Indian Army, as well as the children of the local town. This is a Co-Ed school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). This school is managed by Shri Guru Ram Rai Education Mission. Jaunsar Public School delivers all modern facilities for students like smart classrooms, activity rooms, well-equipped computer labs, and a Science lab also. 

At this school, students have access to the playground in Chakrata Garrison. Organized coaching of basketball, volleyball, and badminton, is conducted during happy Hours assigned to the children on various days. This school concentrates on the overall development of students and holds many competitions like debate, quizzes, dance, art, etc to develop students’ mental health.
