Finally, class Xth exams are over and all of you are waiting for the results!
Now, you are standing in the situation of Robert Frost’s crosswords’. What are your plans now? What will you do next? Will you take the road less traveled through or go for the one that is taken up by many?
After completing matriculation, most of the students are confused about what to decide on the right path for a career. Some think of changing their schools, while others think of studying in the same school and continuing studies thereafter. Some students want to pursue their higher education in boarding schools while others prefer Day schools.
For this purpose, there are a lot of schools that offer high school education to students internationally. There are many good Schools in Dehradun city which are famous for providing quality education to the pupils throughout the globe.
For a successful student career, careful and proper planning is a must. But the first and most important thing is to think about which career you would like to pursue.

Which stream to opt for or should you go for some professional courses?
Every student has a unique set of skills, strengths, weaknesses, and interests. Therefore, it is important to decide on your own.
1. Science with Mathematics/ Biology/ Computer
Considered as the most chosen/preferred stream for 10+2 education, students opting for this are left with the options of Commerce and Arts after completing PUC.
Subjects offered in this include Biology, Physics, Mathematics, English, Chemistry, and Computer Science. In this, students also have an option either to take up Non-Medical or Medical streamside.
Biology subject is taught in Medical Science which can lead you in the field of Medicine, Physicist, M.B.B.S Doctor, and many more.
The Science stream offers lucrative options for a career as it opens the doors to opting for either Commerce or Arts after completing Intermediate studies.
2. Commerce
This stream leads to some of the highest-paid and respectable jobs like the Banking sector, Investment Planning, Financial Advisor, Lawyer, Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary Etc.
Subjects offered in this stream include English, Mathematics (or Comp. Science), Business Studies, Accountancy, Economics, and Law.
3. Humanities/Arts
Although, Arts are considered as one of the least preferred options by the students after 10th, it holds various exciting opportunities in terms of career. Students think that the Arts stream is chosen by the ones who are weak in studies. But, this is not at all true!
In this stream, one has to select 5 subjects, including one compulsory (English or Hindi) and an optional language (Urdu, Punjabi, Telugu, etc). It also gives you a huge list of options to select the remaining four subjects such as History, Geography, Political Science, Philosophy, Zoology, Economics, and Mathematics (as optional).
Choosing the Arts stream opens you the door to Journalism, Teaching line, Social work, Literature, Professor Etc. Even maximum IAS, and IPS qualified candidates are also from this stream.
CONCLUSION: If you are still in confusion about choosing a stream for pursuing a high school education, just keep in mind your future aim. Also, see your past academic performances about which subject you lag or which subject is your favorite. You can also take advice from your parents, elders, or career counselors. Rest all, depends upon your choice.
