Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan is one of the best boarding schools in Delhi, India. It is run under the supervision of the Indian Army Welfare Society and is supervised by the Indian Army. It’s part of the Indian Army Public School system. Army Public School Dhaula Kuan is a co-educational day-cum-residential school with an English medium that is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in New Delhi.

It has classes for children in kindergarten through senior secondary school. In Delhi’s Maulana Azad Road Officer’s Hostel, the school was founded in 1953. The institution was previously known as Defense Services Public School. In 1970, the school relocated to its current location, and in 1976, it was renamed Army Public School.

Students are encouraged to participate in debate, theatre, painting, music, and clay modeling, as well as instructional programs such as movie screenings, workshops, and seminars, at this residential school. Infrastructure

The Army Public School Dhaula Kuan is one of the city’s largest schools, with a campus that spans 31.5 acres. There are four wings on this school’s campus: primary wings, secondary wings, senior secondary wings, and an activity wing. A computer lab, music and dance activity rooms, a bank, a book store, a MI room, and a uniform shop are all located in the activity wing.

Separate libraries are available for senior and junior students, as well as an auditorium, a boys hostel, a science park, three cafeterias, two tennis courts, six basketball courts, a mini-golf course, and one football field.

Accommodation

The campus hostel provides a warm and caring setting in which young minds can flourish intellectually, physically, and emotionally. The ‘Ridgewood Hostel’ at Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, opened on July 15, 1984, and has been in operation since then. It is solely a male-only hostel. The hostel’s primary goal is to provide housing for children of military soldiers stationed in remote places where suitable educational facilities are lacking. Admission to the hostel is open to all boys in grades VI through XII. Admission to the Hostel is subject to strict guidelines.

The medical fitness of students is taken into consideration when they are admitted to the Ridge Wood Hostel. Hostel facilities are not available to local students. Once a child is admitted to the hostel, he or she is only admitted for that academic year. It can be extended depending on the child’s discipline and academic performance.

Separate cubicles for the most senior students and dorms for the rest of the students are available in the hostel. Each dorm can hold between 15 and 18 students. Each student has a bed, a study table, an almirah, and a chair in his dorm. Dorm attendants are in charge of the boarders’ overall cleanliness and laundry facilities.

The boarders’ meals are catered by a well-designed dining hall with efficient mess workers supervised by a mess supervisor. Meals are prepared with hygiene and a well-balanced, nutritious diet in mind to meet the needs of children of all ages. The boarders can eat either vegetarian or non-vegetarian food, depending on their preferences.

To instill messy manners, the hostel warden eats his or her meals in the dining hall with the boarders. A leisure hall, MI room, T.T room, exercise room, and guest room are among the other amenities available to boarders. It provides housing for the Hostel’s staff. A qualified Hostel Warden supervises the hostel on a daily basis. The school participates in an Embassy Exchange Program with Nepal, and many of the hostlers are Nepalese.

Army Public School places a strong emphasis on athletic activities to help students develop their whole personalities. The School has a well-developed infrastructure, including basketball and volleyball courts, football, cricket, hockey grounds, and tennis courts. Students compete in all events sanctioned by the Directorate of Education, as well as state and national championships hosted by numerous state organizations and national organizations. APS students have excelled in a variety of sports and have received awards in numerous tournaments.
